The Det's on Moissanites

So what are Moissanites? Moissanites have a cosmic origin. They were first discovered in 1893 in an Arizona crater after a meteorite had fallen. Initially the beautiful crystals were thought to be diamonds but later was found to be composed of silicon carbide.

Natural moissanite are incredibly rare, so the gemstones on the market today are lab created with minimal environmental impact. They make for a great sustainable choice that is not only durable but also affordable. Moissanites are as hard as diamonds and have more fire and brilliance than diamonds. Our moissanites are so a like to diamonds that when tested with a diamond accuracy tester, they pass! Read more about the 4C's of Moissanite...
