Inspiration
In the Bible, topaz is a sacred stone that was set into the breastplate of judgement worn by Aaron the High priest. Each stone is engraved with the name of “the sons of Israel” to represent the twelves tribes of Israel; God’s chosen people. “So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually. (Exd 28:30)”
The topaz is believed to represent the tribe of Simeon. Simeon was an angry man. He took vengeance on an entire city for violating his sister Dina. This upset his father Jacob, and cost him his father’s blessing and inheritance of land (Simeon’s land was amidst Judah’s territory according to Jos 19:1). Considering his violent past, Simeon is honoured in Ezekiel’s prophetic vision of a restored Israel where a gate of the holy city is named after him. Furthermore, in Revelations 12,000 people of the Tribe of Simeon are sealed or marked as God’s servants and protected from harm.
Wear topaz to remind you that God’s restorative power is greater than any mistake. Topaz has long been regarded for calming angry tempers and bringing healing. It promotes forgiveness and protects from negativity or curses. We see these properties reflected in the restoration of Simeon and his tribe.
May the Lord reconcile you to Himself and fully restore you in spirit, mind, body and soul; for your sake and for future generations.
